One of our very favourites and a coffee with a conscience. Burundi is one of the poorest states in the world and coffee is leading the way to reducing poverty.
Burundi coffee is known for its bright and complex profile. You may taste notes of citrus, berries, stone fruits, and sometimes a hint of spice, such as clove or cinnamon.
Body: Burundi coffee is typically medium-bodied, with a lively and crisp mouthfeel.
Finish: The finish of Burundi coffee is often bright and refreshing, with a lingering acidity and a pleasant aftertaste.
Overall, Burundi coffee is a great choice for those who enjoy a bright, fruity, and complex coffee with a crisp acidity. It pairs well with breakfast foods, baked goods, and desserts and is a great option for both pour-over and French press brewing methods.

What a wonderful coffee!
I mostly ordered Ethiopian Mocha, but since trying Burundi I have been converted.
It is a stronger brew than the Mocha but not any trace of bitterness, Mick and team have got the roast just right.
Freshly ground, it has a wonderful deep and rich taste.
I am ordering another Kg!!
Added 250g of this to my order as a "taster" and have been unable to stop drinking it, I think it will be the main part of my next order. Used in a Mocha with a medium grind it produces a smooth yet strong flavour with an almost Chocolate aftertaste. Love it!
As usual, the service from Pollards was excellent.
This has been a favourite of ours for a few years now. Not being overly robust it makes a great change from our more usual choices. Prepared as a flat white using a fresh fine to medium grind in Aeropress it produces a lighter shot that’s full of flavours. It’s well worth giving it a go! Pollards delivered once again with their usual efficiency and speed. We really appreciate that they have introduced their ‘Go Green’ initiative. It’s a marginal gain that we can make that will support the hard working, conscientious growers in Countries like Burundi.
Burundi is a nice coffee, but it isn't rich enough for me personally. I find I have to use too many spoonfuls to get a brew that has sufficient flavour. It's probably because the beans only have a light roast.
Not only does buying this coffee go towards a good cause, but it's also delicious! It's full of flavour and the perfect strength to start your morning.
