Excellent flavoured coffee beans. Smooth tasting without any bitter taste.
Great tasting decaff coffee, I get it on subscription which is very convenient and is always on time. Really like that they offer it in 100% recyclable packaging and happy to support a local business.
Tried French roast for 1st time, great tasting coffee, one of the best will be added to my regular order going forward.
Good coffee, not my favourite, but will definitely be someone else's - so worth giving it a try.
Excellent strong coffee, full of flavour.Perfect as I like coffee black👍
Once more I return to my favourite roasters. Never fail to deliver the taste I love.
A nice coffee, but not quite got the same kick as the Italian roast beans.
One of my favourite Pollards blends, only discovered during lockdown and its arrival was like a Red Cross parcel in Colditz.
Please could you sell this in the shop! Racheal has asked for it, but it never arrives.
First discovered Blue Lady in a coffee shop in Norfolk and was very glad to discover Pollards. The flavour is light and the additional citrus makes it special. I drink the loose leaf at weekends as my treat.
Love the smell of this in the morning. It reminds me of dark chocolate and croissants! I have my machine set to slightly below medium grind and full-on bucket mug ! Great first drink of the day. Thanks to Simon and the team for a lovely coffee. The Pollards tradition continues.......
I set my kettle to 70°C* or 75°C and used freshly drawn water. I brew for 2 minutes in a double walled steel 600ml tea pot before pouring through an ultra fine strainer into 2 double walled glass mugs or one pint sized mug. Don’t use boiling water or brew for any longer than about 2 and a half minutes or astringent tastes will form. You can however reuse the tea leaves tea ceremony style in the pot for multiple brews at ~70°C especially if using a zisha clay teapot and tea bowls. When prepared correctly this tea hits notes of peony flowers and has a natural sweetness that is extremely satisfying. Extra sweetening and/or milk is not necessary or recommended. *All green and/or white teas should be brewed at around 70°C with the exception of Morrocan style prepared (green tea and spearmint) tea (Pollards does an excellent version) that is meant to be brewed for a long time inside a kettle with lots of sugar.
Always lovely quality teas
I’ve purchased tea from pollards for over 45 years
coffee too,
I buy it by the kilo and drink it every day. It is my absolute favourite tea. Also very pleased about the non-plastic packaging.
Good flavour, not too strong just as we like it.
Having it ground makes it much easier but it doesn’t seem to lose its flavour.
This is a great tasting coffee at a very reasonable price, promptly delivered. We use this in our Sage/ Breville Barista Expess machine and the results are excellent.
I think I'm in love. Someone at Pollard's is highly skilled at blending coffee. Would 100% buy again
Great selection of coffee blends , doesn’t disappoint , will be ordering again soon without a doubt . I use a French Press. I selected both varieties :Regency Blend and Special Blend . Good coffee , excellent service abs reasonable prices .
Coffee is a very personal thing, what I like - others may not... This blend is definitely not my favourite, but if taken in the way coffee was served in the little side-street cafes in Antwerp years ago (way before the days of the now universal espresso machine), that is: with a little dash of evaporated milk, then it becomes very drinkable indeed.
A friend introduced me to Blue Lady tea as an alternative to my usual Earl Grey. The taste is delicate, citrussy and very refreshing (as tea should be!). I don't usually like the faff of loose tea, but the prep involved makes it seem more special and a real treat in this case - the loose tea smells gorgeous as does the brewed drink. I add a little milk.
Pollards' Blue Lady tea arrives with a standard or 'green' packaging option and also the option to have a subscription. Very well priced compared to others with prompt dispatch, and the genuine feel that you are a valued customer. Full marks!
