A Japanese Green Tea

The name Genmaicha, literally means 'brown rice'.

This is a good sencha green tea, with toasted brown rice kernels and popped white rice.

This tea has a more toasted flavour than general green Japanese teas, with a sweet and nutty flavour.

Also known as popcorn tea

All green teas are steamed rolled and fired to stop oxidation.

This brings a grassy vegetable almost seaweed like taste to the tea.
